Digital Networks Releases New Opteron Servers Based On 6000 Series Platform

Today sees the launch of a new range of Opteron systems based on the new AMD 6000 Series Platform, offering the industry's only twelve-core x86 processor.

Features include:

The processor now includes an integrated memory controller supporting four DDR3 memory channels.

The new Quad 16-bit HyperTransport technology provides up to 6.4 GT/s per link.
